Who are we?

The Audit Office of New South Wales is recognised as a centre of excellence within the professional services sector. You will provide high level professional advice to the Director, Performance Audit on all relevant matters relating to the assigned audits. This is a great opportunity to apply your sound judgement and decision-making skills, and to share your expertise across the Audit Office.

What will you need to succeed?

  •         effectively deal with sensitive and/or contentious issues

  •        clearly communicate complex information in verbal and written formats

  •        effectively manage projects to meet time and budget targets.

You will also:

  • Have a proficient understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, professional standards, evaluation, research and auditing concepts and techniques, government operations and public sector reforms.
  • Have sound experience in Performance Audit or a related discipline such as policy analysis, research or program evaluation, including the ability to identify performance gaps and develop practical responses.
  •  Be an Australian permanent resident or citizen or New Zealand citizen.

What are the benefits?

On offer is a total remuneration package (including superannuation) of $161,832 – $204,399 per annum depending on experience, skills and capabilities. As well as access to flexible work practices and arrangements.
