Chinova Resources is a private Australian resources company owned by the Shanxi Donghui Group of Companies, with principal activities focussed in North-West Queensland. The company has existing processing operations at Osborne and one open pit mining operation at Starra, south of Cloncurry. Ore is hauled by road train from Starra on a newly constructed and sealed 50km road to the Osborne processing facility. In addition to the current mining operation, Chinova has several development projects that are being advanced to a decision to mine, and extensive exploration activities on a large and prospective tenement holding.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Personal Assistantto provide support and translation services to our General Manager. This role is based at Osborne Mine site on a 4 days on, 3 days off FIFO roster from either Brisbane or Townsville. Flights are generally in rostered work time.
You will play a key role in providing quality administrative and organisational support in a Personal Assistant capacity, as well as assisting other team members when necessary. This involves daily diary, phone calls, emails, and file management of General Manager’s office including interpreting/translating in English and Mandarin Chinese.
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Excellent written and verbal skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Proven linguistic experience assisting with cross border business between People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Australia.
- 5+ years relevant experience gained in a similar administrator/PA role within resources sector.
- A permanent Australian resident.
- Be professionally trained or have demonstrated practical experience in interpreting, and preferably NAATI-accredited Min Level 3 (Chinese/English).
- A confident and professional communication style.
- Advanced user of MS Office suite.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively.
- Current Queensland “C” Driver Licence.
