Urological Solutions seeks an experienced Personal Assistant / Medical Secretary to join our friendly and busy practice at the Tennyson Centre and Flinders Private Hospital on a 6–12-month contract.
We are looking for someone who is proficient and skilled in performing secretarial and administration duties in specialist rooms. Must be reliable, a team player who can work under pressure and is committed to achieving the highest standard of patient care.
Key responsibilities: -
- Meeting and greeting patients and responding to telephone calls
- Booking of appointments - consulting and theatre
- Patient accounts, including invoicing and payments
- Provide administrative services for our satellite clinics
- Managing patient enquiries
- Participation in quality improvement activities
Essential requirements: -
- Previous experience working in busy specialist rooms
- Experience with Genie software
- Knowledge of billing regulations in regards to Medicare and Hospital Funds
- Awareness of medical ethics and privacy principles
- Organized, good time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Flexibility to travel within the metro area to our satellite clinics
- COVID19 vaccination
- Police clearance
