The surgical and physician team are supported by approximately 11 support staff comprising personal assistants, receptionists, surgical assistants and management. Well resourced to ensure the workload for the team allows for quality delivery and interaction as they continue to extend their market leading position.
The Role
The Personal Assistant is a highly valued and key role within the practice. Providing superior administrative/PA support to the surgeon, it also plays a pivotal role in coordinating surgical bookings and compassionately and professionally leading patients through their surgery journey.
A range of senior responsibilities include:
- managing the appointment/consulting schedule (Genie software)
- coordinating patients' surgeries and managing theatre lists
- preparing surgical quotes and coordinating payments and receipts (Eclipse)
- liaising with health funds, medicare and other healthcare professionals
- booking anaesthetists and theatre room bookings
- supporting the surgeon with administration in the care of patients
- phones, emails, enquiries, referrals, confirmations, and rescheduling all form part of the overall coordination required in this position
Key to your success is your skill and experience as a surgical secretary/PA or similar. Salary & Benefits
The salary and benefits offered are very attractive; circa $38.00 - $40.00 p/h + Super. Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, flexible work arrangements are offered from part time (3 days per week) to full time over four or five weeks days. Some Work From Home flexibility is also available, as is all day street parking - avoiding public transport if that is your preference. Though excellent tram and train options deliver you to the door.
