The Role
We seek a well presented, service-focused individual with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills to provide friendly and professional administrative support and front of house service at Gottliebsen House (Middle School boys, years 7-10) and McNab House (Middle School girls, years 7-10). Please note there are two vacancies, one at each Middle School.
These new part-time, ongoing positions will commence early Term One, 2024. Working hours will be 8am to 10.30am, Monday to Friday.
The Personal Assistant will be caring, trustworthy and able to relate well to teenage students, parents and staff. Working in a busy school environment, you will be proactive and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and display a professional and confidential approach at all times.
In addition to this part time position, there are two Personal Assistants at each section, who work closely together to provide support for the Head of McNab House and Head of Gottliebsen House and their leadership teams.
Key requirements are:
- Relevant administrative experience
- A strong customer service focus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and develop rapport with students, staff and parents
- High levels of professionalism, including a discreet and confidential approach
- Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & data entry, with Synergetic experience a benefit
- Ability to draft and format documents and accurately proof material
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- A commitment to child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children and support for children with diverse needs and backgrounds
- A valid Working With Children Check
