AddressCasterton Pharmacy is offering a fantastic opportunity for a full time or part time pharmacist. The role would suit both a recent graduate (or soon to be qualified - enquiries welcome now!) or a pharmacist looking for increased professional development and growth. There is also scope for advancement.
The position involves working alongside an experienced team, consisting of dispensary technicians and retail staff. Since the year 2000 we have been a single pharmacist business but business growth has led to us being able to offer this position. Our small community pharmacy has a strong focus on our patients and professional service delivery, in a friendly welcoming environment based on a “family business” model.
Our busy independent pharmacy is in a small community town, only 30 minutes from the South Australian boarder with our closest competitors an hour away. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly supportive team environment for all staff.
We have developed good relationships with a range of other healthcare providers in the district meaning we are able to delivery exceptional service to ensure optimum health outcomes for Casterton and broader local community.
The successful applicant must possess, or be able to develop, excellent communication and people skills. You should also be able to engage equally well with doctors, customers and staff.
Patient interactive dispensing and counselling are the cornerstones of our pharmacy service. We are very customer focused and driven. We pride ourselves on having an excellent local reputation for professional customer service and going “the extra mile”.
Experience with Fred Dispense, Fred Office and Webstercare would be advantageous. We supply an extensive number of DAA's to our local customers. We also service six nursing home, supplying webster packs and non-packed items for each of these homes, both in Casterton and Hamilton. Vaccination and pharmacotherapy services are two of the other professional services we offer on a daily basis so experience in these fields would also be an advantage.
We aim to have flexible work arrangements for all staff with roster negotiation available. While the current hours are up for negotiation, the successful applicant will also need to be flexible within the needs of the business. The pharmacy is open, Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm and Saturday 8am to 12pm and your roster will need to work in with our managing pharmacist/owner.
Casterton Pharmacy currently owns a 3 bedroom house which is only a 2 minute walk from the pharmacy which would be offered to a successful applicant.
The applicant must hold a current AHPRA registration in Australia. You will also need to have a strong work ethic and be able to help the team grow the business. This will mean assisting the team to proactively seek out new opportunities whilst leveraging and maximising the existing business.
This position is open to pharmacists with all ranges of experience. We actively encourage professional development and your package includes other attractive conditions to assist with this, including paid professional training courses &/or conferences. The hourly rate will be commensurate with your experience and be regularly reviewed. You are assured that it will be a very competitive rate in the market.
