We are looking to fill a Pharmacist In Charge position in the busy country town of Taroom. The applicant would work alongside the owner 1-2 days per week and solo on other days. Our pharmacy supports our local community and surrounds to provide top quality healthcare to patients from infants to palliative care.
We are a long-established business and have recently moved into a brand-new store, custom designed by the team increase accessibility and care for our patients because people in the bush deserve access to quality health care.
We are looking for a pharmacist with a desire to work on every level of pharmacy - FOS, dispense, services, vaccinations, sleep apnoea and in due course full scope of practice!
We are a small and fun team with pharmacy assistants and owner working in store 2 days per week. All support staff have completed or are enrolled in Cert 3 Community Pharmacy or higher.
- Pharmacy opens 5 ½ days per week (Mon-Fri, Sat morning)
- 35-43 hours available per week depending on applicants preference
- Closed on Public Holidays
- Av 75-80 scripts per day
- Z dispense and FOS software
- DAA and nursing home services (appx 60 patients)
- Sleep apnoea services
- Vaccination accreditation essential
- Visiting allied health professionals in store (including physio, OT, speech therapist, exercise physiologist, dietician)
- No methadone services
- Early adopters to expanded scope of practice such as clinical trials and new skill sets such as UTI trial
- AHPRA registration required
- Flexible roster available with time off for CPD or long weekends

This position would suit a newly registered or early career pharmacist that would like to improve their management skills through mentoring, a pharmacist with young family or someone looking for a patient based work environment. The pharmacy offers a wide range of services including vaccinations, Medschecks, HMRs, diabetes education. Visiting allied health professionals include physio, speech pathologist and dietician who are based in the pharmacy.
Salary package includes:
- Hourly rate based on applicant's experience
