About the role
We are looking for a passionate and suitably qualified pharmacist with experience in Pharmacy Informatics to join Eastern Health Pharmacy and work across the health service.
The role provides ongoing management of the electronic Medicines Management Systems. This role will provide support to the EH Senior Informatics Pharmacist to ensure the use of medications is optimised within relevant systems and using automation and appropriate controls, ensuring Eastern Health Pharmacy has appropriate information and technology services to support Pharmacy Department operations and business decision making.
Eastern Health operates five pharmacy departments (Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre and Wantirna Health). Our enthusiastic team of pharmacists and technicians are dedicated to providing high quality, evidence-based care to our patients at the time they are most needed. Our pharmacy department strongly values professional development and education. We have an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offer opportunities for involvement to all staff.
This position is mainly based at Box Hill Hospital and requires regular visits to other Eastern Health campuses.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Extensive experience working with information systems in a health environment
- High levels of understanding and familiarity with the information systems used in the health and pharmacy environments
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role. An offer of employment is conditional on you providing evidence that you are currently vaccinated against COVID-19 with booster & Influenza, prior to commencing employment.
