About you:
You have knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, practices relevant to receipt, handling, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and dispensing of pharmaceutical products. You possess basic mental arithmetic ability and knowledge of, or the ability to acquire, computerised stock control and distribution information systems and can respond to enquiries in a timely manner and establish work priorities and meet deadlines when work priorities conflict.
Your opportunity:
Assist in the provision of safe and effective pharmacy services under the supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy, which support the delivery of an efficient and effective pharmaceutical service to Cairns Hospital and associated facilities.
Your role:
- Perform functions associated with the receipt, handling, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and delivery of stores, in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Perform warehouse functions including replenishing stock on shelves including unpacking original outer onto shelves, ensuring practices of stock rotation to enable shortest "use by" dates are used first.
- Assist with cyclical stock takes for all inventory product groups.
- Ensure stock and storage areas are well maintained and organised, to meet safe working practices.
- Replenish imprest drugs to the wards and clinics according to departmental procedures using iPharmacy and common office application systems including handheld scanning devices.
- Assist with manufacturing of pre-packed medications.
- Input data required for pharmaceutical systems.
