About the business and the role
Hawthorn East Pharmacy & Post Office provides prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, other pharmacy retail goods (e.g. vitamins, skincare, giftware), health advice, and other health services to the local community. We are also an Australia Post outlet that provides postal, parcel, and banking services. Both parts of the business are very important and provide a valuable service to the local community,
Excellent support is always readily available from the owner and the whole team. The working environment is fun and challenging.
Regular MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS are currently available. Additionally, applicants for casual shifts are also welcome.
The flexibility to cover additional shifts is highly desired.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The role will involve providing outstanding customer service across the post office and retail pharmacy counters, with staff encouraged to get to know regular customers and grow the business with friendly and efficient service. Importantly, the role will also involve the maintenance of stock and presentation of the pharmacy and post office.
Skills and experience
Training will be provided for all new skills and areas of knowledge, mainly on the job and training courses paid by the pharmacy will also be available if desired (e.g. Dispensary Assistant Certificate or Certificate III in Community Pharmacy).
Previous retail experience is highly desirable.
