The opportunity:
We have an exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Icon Pharmacy, located at Icon Cancer Centre Wesley in Auchenflower, to help deliver optimum patient-centred care and pharmacy operations.
The pharmacy operates from 7:00am – 5:00pm weekdays, with varying start/finish times during those times. Once fully trained there is an expectation that the successful applicant will take part in on call and public holiday cover.
In this role, you’ll:
- Deliver high level pharmacy services to the hospital staff, patients and customers
- Dispense and supply medications for hospital and oncology patients
- Manufacturing specialised drugs in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment
- Assist with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
- Undertake delivery and collection of medications to hospital wards
- Complete data entry of patient specific information into database
- Assist with patient account enquiries
- Liaise with hospital staff and associated employees
- Assist the pharmacy teams with any general administration

Preferred Requirements:
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
- Certificate in pharmacy (community or hospital) or equivalent
