Reporting to the General Manager – Philanthropy & Partnerships, the Philanthropic Manager is responsible for driving the financial success of this important revenue stream. This will include the identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and recognition of
philanthropic opportunities including trusts and foundations, PAFS, corporate sector and high net-worth individuals.
- In consultation with the General Manager Philanthropy and Partnerships, Head of Donor Engagement and the Corporate and Community Manager, develop and implement a philanthropic roadmap and budget aligned to the MCM strategic plan, fundraising strategy and key business priorities to optimise income generation from philanthropic sources including individuals, philanthropic trusts and foundations and corporate foundations.
- Work collaboratively with MCM service areas, in line with business priorities, gain a comprehensive understanding of MCM’s needs and gaps being addressed, differentiating factors, stories of lived experience and revenue/resource requirements to write convincing, compelling, and successful Cases for Support and funding proposals.
- Research funders, including data mining from third party platforms, to establish a calendar of submissions in line with MCM business priorities and values that will achieve budget and maximise income for MCM services.
