The Adelaide Film Festival(AFF) is a celebration and exploration of Australian and International screen culture with a unique program of screenings, forums, and special events.  Established in 2003 as a State Government entity, AFF won the 2021 Ruby Award for Best Festival and was recognised by Variety as one the top 50 film festivals in the world.

The highly successful 2023 AFF showcased over 130 films from 42 countries with a program spanning directorial debuts, acclaimed stars, and award-winning films from prestigious festivals like Cannes, Venice, and Sundance.  Its first year as an annual festival held in October, AFF 2023 saw enthusiastic audiences set a new box office record – there’s never been a better time to join the AFF team!

Reporting to the CEO/Creative Director, the Philanthropy Manager works collaboratively with the leadership team to strengthen the AFF philanthropic program.  With a focus on achieving growth in financial support through private-giving, donations from trusts, foundations, and individuals to augment corporate, government and box office revenue streams, specific responsibilities include:

  • develop AFF’s donor engagement approach, working with the CEO and Board to foster and steward highly engaged and sustainable relationships;
  • maintain and grow the AFF donor stewardship program and the cultivation of new events and initiatives;
  • ensure appropriate records and data management practices are maintained to support effective DONOR RELATIONS engagement strategies and opportunities;
  • work collaboratively with colleagues including the Development and Partnerships Manager and Marketing Manager to support and leverage program activities and philanthropic opportunities.

Applications are encouraged from accomplished fundraising/DONOR RELATIONS professionals with demonstrated experience developing, nurturing and growing stakeholder engagement and funding at both individual donor and organisational level.  Festival or Arts sector experience will be highly regarded.
