Editorial Coordinator

Refraction Media, a STEM-specialist content and communications agency, is looking for an experienced writer and socials guru to work across our Careers with STEM brand. With 2+ years' experience including in content production, e-newsletters, SEO and socials, and an ability to work with a youth focussed voice, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, numbers driven, efficient communication specialist who can create content on brand and with a creative flair and who is looking to upskill their digital chops.

You’ll work on editorial and branded content, have a flair for youth focussed writing and exposure to digital content creation including WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Analytics, social media and SEO. A passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) is a plus. You will be part of a small team bringing to life the voice of the brand, be an excellent writer, able to create digital reports and drive engagement with online content.

Responsibilities

This is a remote position working 4 days a week with a small core team. We’re dedicated to delivering the best quality content, we work hard, connect regularly and value creativity, teamwork, integrity and a great work-life balance.

Your role

• Write engaging digital copy including posts, quizzes and profiles with strong SEO for clients and editorial purposes
• Create weekly newsletters for youth, teacher and parent audiences
• Create regular posts across social media platforms that is on brand and engages with audiences
• Track and report on analytics
• Set up and monitor digital campaigns eg Google Ads (training provided)
• Coordinate post-campaign reports
• Contribute to print products such as magazines, job kits and others

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ working in a publishing, media or marketing team, preferably with a youth or STEM focus.
• Experience in digital content creation and best practices for digital media production.
• Knowledge of the digital media landscape, including website analytics, social media, mobile, Google ads and other digital marketing tools.
• Proficient in Wordpress, Mailchimp and social scheduling tools.
• Comfortable working remotely in a small and effective team environment.
