Physiotherapist

Ott Physiotherapy is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on physiotherapist to join our team based on the Central Coast, NSW. Ott physiotherapy is an established private practice providing physiotherapy in Long Jetty and its surrounding suburbs on the Central Coast. The successful applicant will join a highly experienced team and will be seeing a case load consisting of private patients, Medicare referrals and worker’s compensation.

Ott physiotherapy’s reputation is based upon providing high levels of manual therapy, dry needling and exercise rehabilitation. The role will suit an experienced practitioner with a background in MSK. 

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a high level of manual skills, professionalism and a passion for treating patients in a holistic manner. 

Duties:

• Use current evidence-based techniques to assess, diagnose, treat and prevent a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and sporting conditions. 
• Work independently with patients to understand how their issue is affecting them and then provide a client-centred treatment approach to achieve their goals.
• Providing targeted hands-on therapy including a variety of techniques
• Educating patients about movement and exercise
• Writing reports for doctors and other medical specialists
• Helping patients manage chronic diseases or acute physical injuries
• Improving patient mobility and enhancing their quality of life
• Ability to build your client base, working alongside the Clinical Director

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of private practice experience
• AHPRA registration
• Professional public liability & malpractice insurance cover of $20,000,000 AUD
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Manual therapy skills (dry needling preferable)
• Rehabilitation of sports and general injuries
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
• Worker’s Compensation accreditation (preferred)
• Sound knowledge of WC reporting and letter writing
