Community Allied Health Team

Allied Health Professionals Enterprise Agreement (VB1 > VB4) $86,730 to $99,699 per annum base salary

We are seeking a Physiotherapist to provide services to community based clients of the Community Allied Health Team of West Gippsland Healthcare Group. The position involves assessing client mobility and function, developing client centred care plans and completing appropriate intervention, via both home visits and centre based assessments, across a range of Commonwealth and State Government funding streams including the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Developing and leading group interventions are part of the role. Maximising clients’ independence and autonomy is a key principle of service delivery within CAHT.
We have 76 hours per fortnight available, which may be offered to one applicant or split across multiple applicants. Exact hours will be negotiated with the successful applicants. The Physiotherapist will be based at the Community Allied Health facility located at Gladstone Street.

Our preferred candidate will have:
- High level of theoretical and practical clinical knowledge in a wide area of Physiotherapy with a particular focus on mobility assessment, gait aid prescription, falls prevention and home based exercise program development.
- Demonstrated ability and flexibility to independently manage a complex caseload.
- Excellent communication (both verbal & written) skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
The following experience/qualifications would be also considered advantageous:
- Previous clinical experience in a Community Health setting and/or NDIS
- Experience completing assessments and interventions in client homes
IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
