About the Role:A position exists within the Hugh Williamson
Gait Analysis Laboratory for a Physiotherapist (Grade 2) in
Gait Analysis. This is a Part Time Fixed Term position at 60.8 hours per fortnight (0.8 EFT) to cover Parental Leave for approximately 11 months.You will be responsible for the assessment and conducting of both three dimensional and video
Gait Analysis. You will be required to nterpretate results and present these at weekly reporting meetings. On the job training will be available and there will be the opportunity to be part of professional development activities.
What you'll achieve:- Management of the Gait Analysis session with the child and their family to ensure understanding, compliance and the wellbeing of the child and family during the session
- Developing and updating gait laboratory protocols within skill level and experience for own clinical practice
- Initiating, supporting and maintaining continuous improvement in the growth and development of the role and service
- Working effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to establish common goals and to develop and offer best care to children and families, ensuring that patient care is integrated and effective
- Supervising and training students commensurate with clinical experience and knowledge
Your skills and experience:- Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
- At least five years of paediatric physiotherapy experience is desirable
- Excellent skills in motivating and communicating with children and their families
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- At least one-year clinical Gait Analysis experience is preferred
