We have a consistent flow of Communications Officer roles available where you can be engaged as a labour-hire ornon-ongoing contractor, or via s26 temporary or permanent transfers for APS employees.

These contracts range from short term to long term (12-months or more).

It is very common for high performing candidate to receive repeated extensions on their contracts or even secure permanency in the APS.

With a range of positions regularly available, we are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates who are interested in being the first to hear about great opportunities.

The responsibilities of each position vary, but as a Communications Officer you will be required to: 

• Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies
• Develop promotional communications collateral to drive awareness around departmental initiatives
• Engage and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop newsletters, articles, and content for internet/intranet and social media platforms 

To be considered for an APS5 – APS6 Communications Officer opportunity you’ll have 3-5 years of experience, preferably within the APS, with a qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing.

You will have the ability to work in time sensitive environments and be flexible in responding to changing priorities.

• APS5: $84,627 – $91,520 + 15.4% super
• APS6: 94,736 – $106,876 + 15.4% super
• Contract engagements include labour-hire or non-ongoing
• Permanent or temporary transfers available for APS employees
• Work from home flexibility up to 2 days per week
