We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.This Senior, Level 4Palliative Care Phyisotherapy temporary position is responsible for clinical care, patient safety and quality improvement, education, and training activities up to January 2025.The role covers Palliative Care physiotherapy services at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick (16 hours per week) and Bear Cottage, Manly (16 hours per week)Additional Information:

- This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
The physiotherapist will provide clinical services to inpatients and/or outpatients as determined by the particular role. The physiotherapist will provide evidence based care within a multidisciplinary and family centred context, and utilise holistic physiotherapy models of care. Participation is required in ongoing education, teaching, evidence based practice and quality improvement activities.
The Level 4 Physiotherapist will contribute at an advanced level to:
- Planning, development and evaluation of physiotherapy services.
- Development, implementation and evaluation of policies, procedures and practice guidelines for patient care in the SCHN Palliative Care service including Bear Cottage, Manly.
- Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration.
- Significant postgraduate experience and knowledge in paediatric Palliative Care
- Demonstrated advanced level of clinical skills in paediatric Palliative Care
- Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills, (including negotiation and conflict resolution skills) and proven success in multidisciplinary team settings.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills with an ability to work flexibly within clinical and administrative service demands.
- Experience in supervision of physiotherapy staff and students
- Demonstrated leadership skills in service delivery improvement activities and/or research
