Our successful candidate will provide a comprehensive social work service to patients of Lower Mid North Coast Sector who have been identified as at end-of-life, and their families, or where a palliative approach is being recommended.Manning Base Hospital prides itself on growing their own and this position can provide you with many opportunities to develop your Social Work career. - Be supported by Senior Social Workers and your peers. Participate in regular clinical supervision in an expectation within this role.
You will join a supportive team of Social Workers who works together to provide direct support services to patients, families and carers. You will be supported and encouraged to develop and apply creative strategies and solutions to complex patient presentations.About Taree:

- We are looking for someone who is committed to improving the quality of life for patients, their families/carers as they adjust to the various changes that hospitalisation can bring.
- You will be courageous, resilient and motivated in regards to advocating for the needs of patients and their families through the hospital journey.
- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Four weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time employees)
- Superannuation contributions 11%
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
