The Maitland Hospital
In this dynamic role your primary responsibility will involve managing referrals and coordinating with paediatric teams and multidisciplinary team members. You'll be tasked with providing clinical supervision to both the ward and the special care nursery, focusing primarily on outpatient services at Maitland.
You will establish a strong connection with John Hunter Children's Hospital Physiotherapy Services, fostering collaboration and synergy between departments. To support you in your duties, there will be on-site assistance from a physiotherapy assistant, streamlining referral management processes and ensuring efficient workflow. It's important to note that this position operates exclusively on Fridays with no additional hours required beyond that. This delineation of time underscores the importance of work-life balance and adherence to set schedules.
Where you'll be working:
Our successful candidate will be working within the outpatient service, operating from a dedicated therapy room. Here, you'll find all the resources necessary to conduct your therapy sessions effectively. Moreover, you'll have access to administrative support to help manage paperwork, scheduling, and other logistical tasks, ensuring smooth operations. As an integral member of our large physiotherapy team, you'll collaborate with fellow professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This dynamic environment fosters teamwork, professional growth, and a supportive atmosphere, all of which contribute to delivering high-quality services consistently.

Requitements and additional information:
- Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA
- Current unencumbered NSW Driver’s Licence due to possible site variation Cessnock / Metford dependent on Client profiles.
- Previous Paediatric Physiotherapy clinical experience including neurological ; Musculoskeletal and developmental delay.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
