We are conveniently situated in a multidisciplinary Women's Health clinic encompassing an obstetrician/gynaecologist, midwives, urogynaecologist and Women's Health GP. We also offer specialised exercise programs for pregnancy and post natal women, and we are registered providers of the ONERO programme, designed to prevent osteoporotic fracture by stimulating bone development and preventing falls in at-risk individuals.
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a passionate and motivated physiotherapist with a special interest in Women's Health to join our growing practice. Empower Physio For Women provides evidence-based physiotherapy services specialised and specific to women in the beautiful Port Macquarie region. Our vision is to motivate women of all ages and stages to take an active role in improving their health and well-being. The ideal candidate will have specialized training and experience in Women's Health physiotherapy, with a drive to continually learn. We offer the flexibility of a part time or full time position and paid administration time
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of Women's Health concerns, including pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal and postnatal issues, urinary incontinence, and musculoskeletal conditions related to pregnancy and childbirth.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, utilizing evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and modalities.
- Provide education and support to empower patients in managing their health and promoting optimal wellness.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, and other physiotherapists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and outcomes measures.
- Stay current with advancements in Women's Health physiotherapy through ongoing professional development and training opportunities
- Run group physiotherapy exercise sessions including ante natal, post natal and ONERO classes
- Contribute to social media content
**Qualifications:**
- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum Australian Physiotherapy Association Level 1 Women's Health
- Minimum of two years of experience working as a physiotherapist, with a focus on Women's Health.
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to develop tailored treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication skills, treating patients empathetically and communicating effectively with medical professionals
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics and patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
