What you'll be doingIf you are flexible, innovative and passionate about developing staff and services to promote the best outcomes for consumers, then this is the position for you. This temporary part time role is be based at Wollongong Hospital. The position includes Team Lead responsibilities with operational and strategic oversight of the multidisciplinary OACCP team, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the wider development of Non-Admitted Allied Health services.Clinical governance of the service supporting the Osteoarthritis Chronic Care Program (OACCP) including developing, implementing, evaluating and reporting on the OACCP in ISLHD.
Provide a high quality specialist physiotherapy service to client groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced reasoning and practice skills and operate autonomously with minimum direct clinical supervision.
Plan, coordinate and implement high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in the specialty of OACCP to patients and carers of ISLHD in accordance with NSW Health, ISLHD and physiotherapy policies and procedures and standards.
Provide clinical supervision and support of Level 1 and 2 health professionals, technical and support staff, students and other staff in the OACCP program.
Provide a consultative role within their area of arthritis and Chronic Care. May conduct clinical research. Participate in the provision of clinical in-service education programmes to staff and students.
May have an operational/supervisory role under the direction of the ISLHD Physiotherapy Head of Discipline or delegate and may be required to manage specific tasks or projects within OACCP.

  • Extensive post graduate clinical experience in the clinical specialty area of arthritis and a broad generalist knowledge.
  • Demonstrated high levels of oral and written communication skills including the proficient use of health based technology.
  • Demonstrated commitment and evidence of implementation of ISLHD core values.
  • Knowledge and proven ability to undertake quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide senior level of supervision to staff and or students.
  • Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence or equivalent.
