Spinal Life Australia is a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that supports people with spinal cord injuries and other physical and neurological disabilities. We focus on helping people to live accessible, equitable and empowered lives from our centres across Queensland and in Perth WA.
The successful candidate will participate in the essential daily operations of the Rehab and Fitness Hub, including full-service delivery of programmes and services.
Combine your expertise at managing your own case load of physiotherapy clients, while working collaboratively with an existing team of highly motivated allied health professionals, including occupational therapists, nurses and exercise physiologists.

Provision of a quality professional service to all clients:
- Typical clinical population includes adults living with significant or permanent disability related to neurological or physical conditions and impairments.
- Conduct a range of practical assessments (and re-assessments) that aim to address the client’s presenting needs or goals.
- Support client’s goal-setting in line with assessment findings and that outline anticipated physiotherapy intervention and recommendations for clients.
- Develop individualised treatment plans in a manner that accounts for the client’s medical, social, and psychological needs; treatment plans will be collaborative in nature, accounting for the client’s additional services they are receiving.
- Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
What's needed to be successful?
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency along with NDIS Workers Screening & Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Previous experience working with people with a disability (desirable)
- Clinical knowledge and clinical practice, particularly relating to spinal cord damage, neurological conditions, and physical disability
- Experience working with people with complex presentations of pain (desirable)
- Proven experience in working in a client-focused environment
- Experience building professional relationships that foster trust and respect.
