About Us: 

Physio Next Door Southport and Nerang are proud to offer our extensive selection of services to meet the demands of patients ranging from private health, WorkCover, and orthopaedic specialist referrals. Our talented team of physiotherapists have a combined experience of over 25 years working with Gold Coast's top spine surgeons and shoulder surgeons to engineer and refine the best evidence-based treatment plans for lower back, neck and shoulder pain.

The Role:

Provide physiotherapy services to a variety of patient demographics including:

• WorkCover, EPC and DVA Musculoskeletal referral patients from local GP's.
• Hospital work with acute spinal inpatients and orthopaedic spine admissions at Pindara Private Hospital’s neuro/spinal ward
• Pre and post-operative musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients from Gold Coast Spine and Gold Coast Upper Limb Clinic.
• Teaching Clinical Pilates classes for conservative and post-operative patients.
• Corporate and occupational training, management, and treatment
• Men's Health and Vascular Physiotherapy

Our hours of operation range from Monday-Friday 0800 to 1700, with opportunity for both late starts and early finishes and weekend hospital inpatient contractor work.

Participate in extensive training and annual professional development funding up to $2000 for active-based rehabilitation interventions and peripheral musculoskeletal physiotherapy. 

Attend monthly multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex patient care with orthopaedic surgeons, radiologists, and more.

Work alongside experienced orthopaedic specialists from Gold Coast Spine and Gold Coast Upper Limb and Hand Clinic, with the opportunity to assess and diagnose patients alongside them to accelerate your learning curve.

Strengthen your musculoskeletal imaging knowledge using our direct communicating relationship with radiologists from QScan, where we are provided precise diagnostic tools (MRI, CT scan and Xray) for streamlined patient management. 

Rehabilitate your patients in our modern workplace equipped with clinical pilates studio and strengthening/resistance gym equipment.

Full patient caseload from referral sources after onboarding process and skills training are complete. Successful applicants will not be required to market or build own caseload.

Open-mindedness to learn new approaches and techniques to patient care. 

Excellent understanding of time-management requirements.

Outstanding knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy particularly for the spine and shoulder is an asset.
