Piano Teacher and Accompanist
Commencing as soon as possible, Term 1 2024
Due to rapidly expanding enrolments, Tintern Grammar is seeking a casual teacher of Piano with demonstrable accompanying skills to commence in March 2024. The role currently entails approximately 3-4 hours teaching on an individual basis to students in both Junior and Senior schools. The ability to accompany examinations and rehearsals will be looked upon most favourably.
Applicants will be required to:
- Prepare piano students for school performances and examinations in accordance with the AMEB syllabus
- Communicate regularly with parents and prepare progressive reports to parents
- Assist with preparation and presentation of events such as a Piano Concert, the Annual Music Concert and other performances as required. These will require the occasional commitment of time outside regular school hours
- Keep accurate attendance rolls
- Undertake other duties as determined by the Head of Keyboard or the Director of Music

They will be expected to make an active contribution to the vibrant musical life of the school and work co-operatively as a member of our dynamic music teaching team.
