The Music Education Academy is currently seeking passionate and skilled Piano-Keyboard and Guitar Teachers who possess the talent to inspire young learners in the realm of music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective music lessons to students, both individually and in-group setting.
• Foster excellent communication channels with students and parents to ensure a collaborative learning environment.
• Uphold the highest standard of professionalism and customer service.
• Demonstrate punctuality and along-term commitment to the academy.

Requirements:

Successful candidates must:

• Exhibit proficiency with Alfred and AMEB syllabus material.
• Show enthusiasm for teaching diverse age groups, ranging from children to adults.
• Hold or completing relevant qualification such as AMEB certification, graduate degree, or equivalent.
• Possess qualities that characterise an outstanding music teacher.

Selection Criteria:

Your application must address the following selection criteria.

• Your highest AMEB, Graduate Degree or equivalent examinations completed or completing.
• Your teaching experience with primary aged children, if applicable.
• Your teaching experience with teenagers and adults, if applicable.
• A brief description about what characteristics you believe make a great music teacher.
• Why being a music teacher is important to you.
• Optional, a photo of you, head shot or performing.

Position Available:

The Music Education Academy are seeking the following positions:

1. Piano Teachers 

To teach Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 8:30/9:00pm (Between 20-30 Hours per week). Annual Salary between $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 includes 11% Super with option of paid holidays.

2. Sessional/Casual Piano and Guitar teachers to teach 1-3 days per week Monday to Saturday, ideal for university students or musicians looking to supplement their income. Hourly rate up to $35.00

Teachers must have:

• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Australian Business Number (ABN)
