  • Permanent, hybrid role either Parramatta or Newcastle

The opportunity

Define team workflow and overall business performance with your technical expertise in PIAWE and workers compensation.

Your new role

Our Workers Compensation business has 3 specialised business units with the overall focus on strategy, performance and most importantly, our customers. An integral part of the works compensation lifecycle is ensuring accurate and timely wage payments so our injured workers can focus on recovery and their journey back to work.

Our PIAWE team work as integral support service to our business, supporting Case Managers and the broader team to ensure that PIAWE calculations are accurate. As our PIAWE Specialist you will:

  • Respond to day-to-day PIAWE calculation requests, legal requests and complex PIAWE reviews to support the broader business.
  • Provide technical advice on PIAWE related matters.
  • Support the business to identify capability gaps and work with stakeholders to achieve performance goals.
  • Work in a collaborative environment contributing to team and business goals.

About you

As our PIAWE specialist, you will thrive in a collaborative environment. It's all about teamwork here, and you will support not only your direct team but the broader business. More specifically you will bring:

  • Experience in workers compensation with applicable experience in reviewing & calculating PIAWE.
  • A broad understanding of workers compensation legislation
  • An agile approach to your workday, you like the ebbs and flows, as well as embracing change.
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
