Location: Mokoan Solar Farm, VIC. With a chance to go to another Solar Farm site once project is complete.
Position Requirements:
- Safely Operate Piling Rigs, including:
- - Orteco HD1000
- Reading and understanding operations manual and safe operating procedures
- Reading and understanding Safe Work Method Statements, Job Hazard Analysis or other
- All safety responsibilities as set out under the HSEMP
- Pre-starting the machine as per dedicated machinery pre-start
- Identify and report safety concerns of the machine immediately via pre-start and HSE advisor and/or supervisor
- Basic general maintenance of machine as expected by an operator
- Basic preventative maintenance of machine as reasonably expected of an operator
- Basic troubleshooting of machine as expected of an operator
- Ensuring equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off
- Ensuring work areas and machine are kept clean and tidy
- Setting up the mast of the piling rig
- Setting up lasers
- Tracking the machine
- Squaring the rig in the E/W and N/S directions effectively
- Use of slings, sling chains and clamps as required
- Using the various hydraulic functions of the piling rig
- Lifting piles with the hammer via clamp and sling chains
- Placing pile in hammer anvil profile
- Squaring piles in the E/W and N/S direction
- Checking Pile inclination (plumb) in the E/W and N/S directions
- Hammering piles into their designated height as per design, markings and/or laser level
- Installing piles within the criteria
- Installing a variety of pile types, lengths in various locations
- Understanding the quality tolerances that need to be achieved
- Performing quality checks on installed piles
- Loading and unloading of equipment from transportation
- Taking responsibility for offsiders / spotters of the piling rig
- Training offsiders / spotters of the piling rig
- Ensuring safety of yourself and offsiders / spotters of the piling rig
- Following instructions from supervision / management
- Notifying supervision of deficiencies during install
- Recording installation data and numbers as required
- Understanding and able to perform all offsiding duties
- Training and monitoring offsiders to be competent and perform their duties correctly
- Operating other machinery as required (if competent / licenced to do so), including:o Piling rigs, Forklifts, Telehandlers, excavators, skid steers, cranes, EWP etc
- Conducting other tasks as required (if competent / trained / licenced / qualified to do so) including:
- Pile testing, waste, distribution of parts etc
- Comply with reasonable directions given to you by the Employer
- At all times act honestly and diligently
- Ensure you are performing solely work-related activities in work time
- Act in the Employer's best interests at all times
