Our client, a leader in engineering maintenance, is actively seeking a skilled Pipe Supervisor to join their team.
Role Overview: The Piping Supervisor (All Rounder) will be crucial in overseeing Pipe Construction projects at various client sites. This position requires a candidate with a strong background in pipe fabrication, site installation, and team leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing resources, and ensuring the successful execution of projects within established timelines and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a team of Pipe Welders, Pipe Fitters, Mech Fitters, and Ta’s to ensure efficient project execution.
- Plan and organise project activities, including material procurement from preferred vendors.
- Read and interpret drawings and P&IDs to guide project teams effectively.
- Monitor and manage labour budgets, production, and productivity to achieve project goals.
- Oversee external contractors, ensuring their adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Participate in meetings, share information, and provide valuable input on project-related issues.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (365) for effective project management.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication
- Proven experience in pipe fabrication and site installation, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of power tools and construction equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Open driver's licence.
- White Card.
- High-Risk Work Licence – Elevated Work Platform.
- Work Safely at Heights Certification.
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification.
