About the role
We are currently looking for an experienced Pipeline Operator with a Mechanical and / or Electrical & Instrumentation background to operate and maintain gas facilities and pipelines.
You will play an integral part of the maintenance team and will be working on state-of-the-art facilities along with the operations and maintenance of the pipeline and easement.
Key Responsibilities include
- Responding to incidents and emergencies
- Operation and maintenance of high-pressure natural gas equipment
- Maintenance of valves and other mechanical equipment
- Patrol and maintenance of the pipeline right of way
- Liaison work with landholders and public authorities
- A wide variety of pipeline duties including mechanical work, documentation and records maintenance
- Inter / intra state travel required at times
About You
The successful candidate will have a trade qualification with proven experience working as a member of an Operations and Maintenance team in the gas transmission or gas processing industry.
You will bring the following qualifications, skills and experience with you:
- Drivers licence (MR Class desirable)
- Demonstrated Mechanical fitter and / or electrical and instrumentation experience
- High pressure gas experience
- Centrifugal Compressor operation and maintenance
- Personal computing skills utilising Microsoft Office systems
