THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Pit Technician is responsible for ore quality in the open pit, whilst maintaining a safe work environment for you and your team.
This is a permanent full-time position that operates on a FIFO 8/6, 7/7 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ore spotting
- Collect, package, record, and dispatch samples from blast holes, grade control holes, the crushing and screening circuits or stockpiles.
- Complete accurate recording of samples and sample sheets
ABOUT YOU:
- Strong communication skills
- Experience using a two-way radio
- Previous working experience in a similar role is highly regarded
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
- Collaborative, team participant
