The Position
The Placemaking Curator reporting to the Team Leader Cultural Activation is a key position in identifying and delivering the forward vision for Placemaking.
This position will educate and foster a greater understanding of Placemaking and it's role within the community, including; development, implementation and review of placemaking, urban and public art and cultural precinct related strategies and plans.

Qualifications & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in arts administration, cultural development or a related discipline with extensive project management experience in arts administration or public art
- Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to have & maintain)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of:
- Construction
- Creative business
- Placemaking
- Project management
- Contract Management and Delivery
- Corporate Sponsorship Management
- Cultural awareness
- Local Government
- High level of computer literacy in the use of a variety of software applications including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, HRIS systems
- Curate an engaging placemaking program in line with AlburyCity's arts and culture objective.
- Provide leadership and direction to staff including task delegation, effective performance management, employee engagement, motivation, training, coaching and mentoring of staff and developing a teamwork approach
- Expand program funding through grants and partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to align corporate social investment with placemaking activities.
- Manage stakeholder engagement with the Community and internally.
Hours
Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
