Job description
The Commission is seeking a highly motivated planner to join our dynamic, collaborative and flexible team. We can offer you a variety of exciting, rewarding and challenging work, including assessments on proposed planning reform rules, scheme amendments, some development applications included and major projects, technical reporting and provision of information to a range of stakeholders. The Commission’s work covers a diverse range of land use and development matters throughout the State, which will provide you with a variety of opportunities for career growth and learning new skills.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
Provide a high level of professional planning advice and support to the Commission and its delegates as required.
Prepare recommendations to the Commission regarding its statutory land use decision making and other functions.
Prepare a range of assessment documents, as required.
Liaise with planning authorities and the community about the Commission’s functions, and resolve issues as they arise.
Desirable Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
Eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
