About this role
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.
The Planning and Policy Analyst provides analytical support to Strategic Reform and Planning Branch within the NSW Ministry of Health. The position holder will interrogate large, complex datasets and undertake comprehensive analysis to address a wide range of strategic planning questions and provide advice which assists the branch and unit to meet key deliverables.
Crown Clerk 7/8, starting salary from $106,025 - $117,363 p.a. (plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week).

What you'll be doing
- Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis and advice to inform health service Planning and Policy.
- Applying critical thinking to complex datasets to demonstrate findings of data analysis beyond simple presenting of numbers
- Communicate key findings of analysis with concise, accurate and timely written or verbal reports, ensuring clear advice is provided to audiences
- Contribute to project design, development and implementation including project planning, management, monitoring and regular reporting, as an individual and as a member of project teams
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or health information and/or equivalent work experience
- Experience in working with information systems/data warehouses, preferably in a health care context
- High level skills and working knowledge of Excel, and other data analysis software.
- A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
