Our Client located in Emu Plains is looking for an experienced, confident and competant Planning Assistant with great administrative skills.

Your Duties:
- Prepare planning approvals, environmental assessment, and post-planning approval documentation
- Liaise with the relevant departments on planning approvals, development applications, and environmental assessment processes
- Prepare consultant briefs and tender documentation as required
- Develop and maintain systems for planning approvals
- Drive systemic improvements to enable improvements to cost, quality, and turnaround times
- Establish and maintain clear expectations relating to government compliance
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure other controls and compliances are considered in all relevant business opportunities and activities
- High volume inbound and outbound calls relating to paperwork and payment follow-ups
- Ability to multi-task and keep abreast of multiple projects concurrently
- Keeping up to date with council planning rules and regulations as to relevant approval requirements
- Prior experience in the building/construction industry
- Knowledge of council/building application procedures and requirements
- Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Methodical and process-driven approach
- Experience in Excel, Word, other Microsoft Office applications, and electronic filing
- Excellent verbal and written communication, and great interpersonal skills
- Great time management skills with the ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to perform additional ad hoc duties to facilitate the company's operations, as required
Immediate start is available for the right candidate. Hours of work will be 8:30 am until 4:00 pm, Mon-Fri, circa $60,000 + super.
