The Opportunity
We have a great development opportunity in Long Team Planning team. Reporting to the Senior Long Term Planning Lead, the Long Term Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the life of mine schedule and designs, contributing to the annual budget and resource/reserve declarations for our underground mine operations at Tanami.
This role is being offered as a 12 month secondment opportunity as leave cover. You will work from home remotely with ad hoc travel to Tanami.
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Contribute to overall business improvement and profitability.
- Contribute to the Mineral Reserve and Resource estimation process and generation of supporting schedules and cashflows.
- Contribute to and support the Business Planning process.
- Provide life of mine designs and schedules to support studies, as required.
- Produce conceptual designs to hand over to Medium Term Planning Engineers.
- Evaluate new opportunities to improve mine planning and design practices.
- Review mine planning procedures.
About You
We are seeking a knowledgeable Mine Engineer with solid experience working in an underground mining environment with ventilation and/or infrastructure experience a strong advantage.
You will bring with you advanced PC skills and Computer literacy with competency in mine planning software; Deswik and Ventsim preferred.
