Our client, a global EPCM within the Mining Industry, is looking for a Planning Manager to work on a 12-month contract based in Perth or Brisbane.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Planning Team to ensure the delivery of comprehensive Planning and Scheduling services for projects.
- Direct the activities of the Planning Focal Point and Planning Engineers, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Generate regular weekly and monthly reports, and conduct analysis of contractors' reports as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Construction Manager, Operations Development, and Asset Focal Points to align planning processes with project scopes and manager requirements.
- Engage with the Management Team on pertinent cost and planning matters.
- Produce routine status reports and forecasts for project management and client evaluation.
- Mentor and foster the professional development of planning and support staff, whether in-home or field office environments.
- Maintain the current and baseline schedules, assess the impact of proposed alterations, and oversee the baseline change control authorization process.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Demonstrable expertise in EPC/EPCM environments.
- Track record as a successful Planning Manager.
- Background in Mining, Minerals & Metals industry, with a focus on underground mining operations.
- Proficiency in Planning software such as Primavera and MS Project.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently between Australia and the UK to support project needs.
