PLANT AND OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE

Roles and Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all Bajara fleet and assets including owned and subcontracted equipment.
Coordinating and scheduling maintenance and servicing of fleet, working in with project requirements to ensure utilisation of our fleet is maximised.
Primary point of contact for our Plant and Equipment Operators. This will include recruitment, onboarding, management and guidance of Operators across our projects.
Coordination and management of Bajara’s workshop/depot and relevant personnel.
Inventory Management and Budget Management and cost reporting.
Liaise with key stakeholders (e.g. clients and suppliers) to ensure project and machinery requirements are met.
Required Skills and Experience
Prior demonstrated experience in a similar role in the civil construction/earthmoving industry
Excellent knowledge and understanding of earthmoving Plant and equipment
Prior demonstrated experience with operating earthmoving Plant and equipment
Relevant experience in the management of Plant and fleet
Thorough working knowledge of the civil construction, earthmoving and heavy plant hire industry
Sound mechanical knowledge
Ability to work autonomously and use initiative
Highly effective interpersonal skills to liaise with people at all levels
Strong organisational and project coordination skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Travel within Queensland and interstate is expected
