In this senior position you will be responsible for different facets of the business that contribute to the success of the company, including the overall safety, quality, production and delivery of projects inclusive of meeting targets, project budgets / labour costs and manufacturing timeframes.
The role will be geared towards planning and coordinating activities and production across the manufacturing facility, and to ensure the production of quality products are delivered in the designated timeframe and per client specification and Australian standards.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate all activities across manufacturing the business to ensure the production of quality products in the required stipulated timeframes, whilst ensuring quality throughout.
- Identify and implement actions and initiatives that will positively impact manufacturing operations to deliver improved safety, financial, quality or productivity outcomes
- Having a heavy influence on safety, quality, manufacturing costs and efficiencies whilst mitigating risk
- Review, monitor and take action to ensure plant and labour requirement/costs are aligned to production planning requirements.
- Strive for continuous improvement across the business and support in maximising plant efficiency and productivity
- Support in the planning and execution of work to ensure production targets are met
- Lead investigations to identify the root cause of issues and provide solutions
- Build and maintain positive and successful relationship with stakeholders and team
- Train and mentor employees and support them in continuous improvement, provide ongoing technical support
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to work within complex frameworks
- Ability to analyse and identify key business and market trends and provide feedback and solutions to key business stakeholders.
- Exceptional business acumen - To prepare and comprehend detailed budgets, costing, ability complete detailed statistical data analysis
- Excellent client and stakeholder engagement experience / Advanced project Management skills
- Drive and motivation to deliver results
- Strong commitment to safety
- Tertiary degree level qualifications in an Engineering discipline Mechanical or Electrical - Essential
- Tertiary degree level qualifications in Business discipline - Commerce, Finance, Sales & Marketing - Advantageous
- Six Sigma" green belt or similar
- Circa 6 years' worth of solid experience in the heavy manufacturing industry - Essential
- Senior management experience- Essential
- Ability to lead times and meet company KPI's
- Strong commitment to safety
