Your new company, part of a group of companies, is a stable, award-winning, innovative earthmoving attachments, engineering and hydraulic installations company. You will be servicing the best of Australia's blue-chip OEMs at this company.
Your New Company is the preferred supplier of world-class excavator attachments and safety systems to the earthmoving, construction, demolition, road, recycling, mining, rail, pipeline and quarry industries.
Due to an increased workload as the company grows, they seek a trade-qualified and experienced Plant Mechanic/diesel fitter to join their team.
Your New Role:
Apply your mechanical background combined with electrical and hydraulic diagnostic and fault-finding skills across a wide range of earthmoving machinery and attachments. Display your experience in construction machinery, ability to install auxiliary hydraulic systems, and competency with electrical control systems and components.
As well as this, you will be responsible for:
- Attention to detail and quality as most of the work is on new machines
- Installation of auxiliary hydraulic systems to excavators and commissioning of attachments into service
- Installation of hydraulic circuits, e.g., tilt systems, quick hitch and hammer systems
- Installation of electrics
- Assembling and repair of attachments
- Hydraulic troubleshooting
- Commission new attachments into service. Montabert and or Sandvik drills and Movax piling equipment or similar would be highly regarded.
- Installing electrical control systems, and calibration of controls, namely on a Canbus PLC system
- Carry out workshop and field repairs of attachments or installed hydraulic circuits
Your Profile:
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in Rock Drilling Attachments, Drifters and CPA Drills or heavy excavator-mounted attachments; preference would be dealer or OEM trained. Our applicant must be a self-starter and have experience but be open to learning more and working with new technology. Be a team player and can work unsupervised and independently.
As well as this, you will have:
- Mechanical Trade Qualified as a Plant Mechanic/Diesel Fitter
- Previous installation experience on new earthmoving machinery
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read parts, diagrams and schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulic hose and fittings
- Excellent hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Stock control and relevant paperwork ability
- Good written and communication skills
- Ability and flexibility to work overtime and or travel nationally and potentially internationally where necessary
