Plant Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter

Established in 2005, we are a general engineering and mechanical maintenance company based in Dubbo NSW.

We specialise in rail specific mobile plant and all aspects of its repair, maintenance, and overhaul as well as work in other niche industries. Work is carried out both in our workshop and on site at varying locations. Our workshop caters for many aspects of maintenance and repair to our client’s assets including mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis and repair, fitting/machining and fabrication.

We’re looking for the right person to join our team as a Mechanical Fitter or heavy Plant Mechanic.

The role:

• Machine maintenance and overhaul in workshop.
• Periodic on-site maintenance, repairs and breakdowns.
• Hydraulic repair, retrofit and diagnosis.
• Compliance and repair of rail guidance systems on both light and heavy vehicles. 
• Availability to cover shifts as Plant Mechanical support (Shift Fitter) when required.

About you:

• You have a mechanical trade qualification, ideally as a Mechanical fitter or Mobile plant Mechanic. 
• Competent in all aspects of mechanical repair to mobile plant.
• Reliable.
• Good work ethic and motivated attitude. 
• Adaptable and willing to work overtime as required and prepared to travel away on occasion.
• Able to work alone and as part of a team.
