Plant Operator

The roleWe currently have an opportunity for a Batch Plant Operator to support our Katherine Operations on a full time basis!If you have a passion for customer service in the Concrete industry and a talent for problem solving and prioritising workload, then this is the opportunity for you!In this diverse position you will play a critical role in our business by ensuring customer expectations are met at all stages of our ordering & delivery processes. You will provide excellent customer service whilst taking orders, batch concrete to customer specifications and schedule and allocate deliveries to maximise the efficiency and utilisation of our concrete agitator trucks. You will also operate mobile and fixed plant and equipment, including front end loaders and forklifts.If you are reliable, have a strong work ethic and are committed to safety, then this is your opportunity to join our team. ResponsibilitiesRepresent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone based customer serviceTake orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for deliveryBatch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerised systemUse software packages to schedule rosters and truck movements for the regionEnsure Chain of Responsibility requirements are adhered to at all timesOrder raw materialsWhat you will need to succeedExperienced Plant Operator (FEL preferred)Demonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant changeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customersConfident when working with computersOur businessHy-Tec is a leading supplier of premixed concrete, aggregates, and sands to the commercial, industrial, civil and residential construction sectors.
