We are seeking an Operator Maintainer to join Flyash Australia (FAA) based at Eraring on a full-time permanent basis. FAA is a joint venture company equally owned by Boral and Cement Australia. FAA’s core business involves the collection, processing, storage and distribution of quality fly ash products, principally from leading electricity generation sites.
Reporting to the Eraring Leader & SHEQ Manager, you will safely operate, maintain and care for the Eraring Fly Ash processing equipment. Your day to day tasks include operation of the ash processing plant, assist in maintenance of plant equipment, sampling and testing/recording ash quality and liaising with power station personnel.
About the role:
In this role you will:
- Contribute to a safe work environment for self and others, actively participating in safety meetings, observations and toolbox talks. Comply with SHEQ policies and procedures;
- Operate and perform scheduled and reactive maintenance of ash process related equipment including pneumatic conveying equipment and air classifier;
- Monitor product quality through sample taking & analysis;
- Commission plant equipment when required;
- Maintain stock levels to appropriate and practical levels;
- Engage with Cement Australia Supply Chain & Logistics and others regarding site rules and power station requirements; and
- Ensure all customer deliveries are to specification and delivered on time.
- Experience in a similar role with previous process operator experience is desirable;
- Mechanical or Electrical trade qualified person highly regarded but not essential;
- Forklift and EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Licences preferred but not essential;
- Strong focus on safety and housekeeping;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Trouble-shooting ability and root cause analysis skills; and
- Ability and willingness to flex shift patterns and ash processing sites as required for breakdowns, leave or coverage - this includes weekend and public holiday work.
