Aboutthe role
NAWMA isseeking an experienced Plant Operator – Leading Hand to work closely with the MaterialRecovery Facility Manager and the wider operations team to operate plant andequipment. The successful person will ensure the smooth and efficientoperations of the facilities at the Material Recovery Facility.
Keyresponsibilities:
- Assistthe Material Recovery Facility Manager in safely operating the MaterialRecovery Facility plant and operations as required
- Generalsite maintenance and plant operation
- GeneralFront-end loader (up to CCF class 6) and forklift operation
- Processingof materials and maintenance of receival and dispatch areas
- Assistin undertaking duties associated with the administrative activities, includingsite preparation and closure, asset serviceability reporting, plant and timesheets and risk assessments and safe work instructions
- Undertakeduties associated with customer service including being professional and clientfocused,
- Beprepared to foster and facilitate continuous improvement and best practice andassist with and respond cooperatively to reasonable requests.
To have asuccessful application for this role, the following qualifications and skillsare essential:
- Provenexperience in maintenance of plant and equipment
- Provenexperience in maintenance of buildings and infrastructure
- Provenexperience in safely operating plant and equipment
- Abilityto work as a team member
- Abilityto work without supervision
- Timemanagement skills in order to meet required deadlines
- CurrentSA driver’s license
- Maintainlicenses, skills and competencies relevant to the role, including mobile plantoperating licenses (front end loader and forklift)
Salary forthis role will be negotiated with the successful candidate within theadvertised range based on experience, skills, and knowledge.
