The Apprentice and Traineeship Company, is one of the largest employers of apprentices and trainees in the state. We are a non profit community based organisation – so all profits are used for our local youth.
The Apprentice and Traineeship Company are currently recruiting for applicants for an Electrical Apprenticeship taking place in 2024. This position will be located in the Busselton Region.
What is included in an Electrical Apprenticeship?
Electricians are highly hands-on and are involved in day-to-day work with electrical systems. This may include installing and repairing electrical networks in residential, industrial and commercial settings. In this role your daily activities will include: testing, repairing, installing and maintaining electrical components, circuits and wiring.
By starting your electrical apprenticeship you’ll also be involved in:
- Reviewing wiring diagrams and blueprints to determine sequences and methods of operation
- Measuring and laying out installation points
- Connecting wires and cables to terminal points and connectors
- Diagnosing and testing wiring faults by using electronic equipment
What is required for this position?
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve
- An eye for detail
- A passion for fixing and repairing
- An ability to plan
- Drivers Licence (Provisional or Full Licence is essential)
- Previous work experience in the field or a Pre-Apprenticeship in Electrotechnology (Certificate II)
- Year 12 completion or equivalent
- To be residing within the Greater Busselton Region
