Form of workKey duties:
- Responding to abnormal server/system states and returning to normal operation
- Ensuring sufficient capacity for systems to perform to functional requirements
- Proactively administering servers to ensure reliable operation during business hours
- Supporting processes and procedures that maintain Disaster Readiness (dedicated DR site)
- Performing vulnerability management activities ("patching")
- Assisting with the Platform and server upgrade programme
- Supporting team-level scripts and processes written in PowerShell
- Maintaining Infrastructure-oriented documentation as needed
Experience required:
- Extensive experience across a diverse wide-area-network implementation of servers, storage and Systems
- Experience with cloud principles and implementation
- Experience with vulnerability minimisation and mitigation
- Experience in supporting and administering physical and virtualised Windows servers (W2K12 through W2K22)
- Experience in supporting and administering virtualised Linux servers (RHEL, Oracle Linux, SUSE)
- Experience in using Data Centre virtualisation via VMware ESX
- Experience in supporting and administering Windows and Linux servers running as Azure IaaS
- Experience in Container-based platforms (Docker)
- Experience in Active Directory and Hybrid Exchange
