Bankwest's Technology Division develops and executes all technical change within the organisation ensuring the leverage of technology to deliver the Bankwest strategy. The Division works on a wide variety of technologies and projects with the support of a dedicated team in an Agile methodology. Our team is responsible for the world-leading application of technology and Operations across every aspect of the bank - from product platforms for our customers, to essential tools within our business.

As a Systems Engineer, you'll be part of the Technology Enablement squad who are responsible for the on-premise and cloud based IT infrastructure and services. You'll be given the opportunity to constantly learn new skills and have the freedom to create innovative solutions to solve technical problems at hand, thereby positively impacting the business. You will be part of a squad that provides infrastructural and operational services, as well as 24x7 system support of those systems.

• Are comfortable joining a rotating on-call support roster
• Are passionate about supporting platforms that serves millions of customers.
• Are ready to execute state-of-the-art operational practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks.

• Have a keen interest in simplifying tasks through automation to uplift our operational capability.
• Works well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives.

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

• Strong Windows server skills, RHEL experience is highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience with Virtualisation and Backup technologies
• Compute (rack mount and blade)
• PowerShell or Ansible automation skills would be advantageous.
• Any additional experience with the following would be great: Storage Technologies, VMware NSX, Dell VxRail, and Cloud computing
