As part of the Application Management team, the Platform Reliability and Engineering Team manages the ability of Retail Tech Applications across all portfolios to host their services across Dot Hosting Platform (DHP). The team provides operational delivery management and the guard rails within each applications requirement to function optimally on DHP. You will create, manage, and optimise the platform used to power our entire business. You'll have the opportunity to take responsibility for continuous improvement, ensuring our systems are simpler, faster, and more secure. The cloud movement at CommBank is going strong and continues to grow. Your team will be "out of the box thinkers" who want to use technology to work on real-world problems that have the potential to change the lives of our 17 million+ customers.

We're interested in hearing from people who
- Are experienced as an operation and SRE engineer in an IT environment, managing day-to-day cloud technology operations
- Demonstrate experience with contemporary development principles and tooling: 'everything as code', version-controlled change, continuous delivery and automated testing
- Demonstrate knowledge of IT Service Management and Delivery primarily focused on incident and change management
- Demonstrated skill in DevOps and Continuous Delivery including source control, deployment pipelines
- Always learning, and comfortable in ambiguous and semi structured environment
- Self-motivated, enjoy autonomy, and willing to take ownership of issues and initiatives with drive, energy and enthusiasm
Tech Skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
- PostgreSQL development - schema design, performance tuning, PostgreSQL management
- AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL management
- Linux, Python
- Source control, GitHub, GitHub actions, Automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform
- MongoDB, MS SQL database development, Oracle database development.
- AWS foundation services (EC2, Lambda, Cloudformation, System Manager, RDS)
