The Village Therapy Hub is a collaboration of child and family therapists committed to ensuring the rights of children to access developmentally appropriate mental health and trauma therapy services to heal, grow and reach their potential. We seek to honour children’s experiences by promoting child-sensitive, neuro-affirming and trauma responsive therapeutic practices across all settings in which children live, learn and play.
Our team specialises in Play Therapy, Art Therapy, EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, Parent counselling and support, Filial Therapy and Eating Disorder support. We focus on the healing powers of relationship and play, structured in a neurobiologically sensitive manner to meet the specific therapeutic needs of individual children. We recognise play as central to how children come to learn about themselves, their relationships, and their world.
Aligned with our clinical practice framework, you will work collaboratively with parents/caregivers and the systems around the child within which they live, learn and play.
Your role will provide discipline-specific psychological and play therapy interventions to children (0-18 years) with complex relational, emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.
Our service is based on a model of recruiting the right contractors whose dedication, skill set and experience fit within our team of supportive therapists. We offer part time to full time opportunities and flexible working arrangements. Both Employee and contractor positions are available.
You will be part of a small team in the context of a growing practice, and actively contribute to practice development initiatives. You will be supported in your professional growth with access to responsive support, regular clinical supervision; both individual and group, professional development, role diversity as you desire, and an opportunity to develop a work context based on your interests. You will be provided with administrative support, client referral support and everything you need to just get on with doing the think you love - supporting children and their families.
We want you to feel like a valued and welcome team member and come to your working day feeling inspired, fulfilled and supported.
